Following that, my new three-part series on the chemical elements, Chemistry: A Volatile History begins, also on BBC4 on Thursday 21 January. No trailer available yet, but watch this space.
In early February, I will be a guest on Radio 4's Desert Island Discs. I have yet to decide on my final eight pieces of music.
In March, I have two exciting events. First, I will be interviewing the archbishop of Canterbury at Surrey University on the 2nd, then on the 8th of March I will be addressing the Oxford Union.
My book The House of Wisdom and the Legacy of Arabic Science will hopefully be out this summer, published by Penguin Press. It is currently in final draft form. All very exciting.
