radio and podcasts

Over the pasty ten years I have contributed to discussions, or been interviewed, on a number of programmes on radio with topics ranging from the public's attitude towards the theory of evolution to quantum cryptography to the science of Star Wars. I have been a guest on programmes such as the Today Programme, Leading Edge, Learning Curve, Material World and In Our Time on Radio 4 and Science in Action and the Learning Zone on the BBC World Service.

Listen again to me talking nuclear physics on the Guardian Unlimited podcast Science Weekly for 23 July 2007 , or discussing the LHC at CERN at Science Weekly for 30 June 2008 .

Listen online to my recent contribution on Tuesday 15 July 2008 to the World Service's Analysis.

As part of the celebrations of Einstein Year in 2005, I was a contributor to Radio 4's three-part series In Einstein's Shadow in January and, rather embarrassingly, read out a poem I had written to launch the British Association for the Advancement of Science's 'Universe poetry competition' on the Today programme.
